Rules for the 2023 TNS 1/8 Scale Series Brought to you by Raw Speed

Always bring a table chair and extension cord.

Once one qualifying round has been completed your qual results may apply as your finishing times if we are rained out, natural disaster, shut down by the city and or park.

Due to time constraints at both Channel Islands and Thunder alley Qual lengths and May lengths may be shortened.

No Double parking or parking in Red Zones

Please follow the house rules and proper behavior at our host facilities as we are guests.

restrictions apply registraion priority goes to those who signed up online prior to the event. we are capping the entries EACH round at 280. It is up to you to sign up early and reserve your spot there are no refunds on any round no exceptions

?Best total laps/time (rocket round) of either round will be used for qualifying.
?Qualifying race(s) will be 5 minutes long, longer nitro main event lengths will vary with attendance, water schedule & track amenities/accommodations.
?Personal MYLAPS transponders are required
?Awards for top 3 in the "A" mains at each event. ?Awards for top 5 at end of series.
?The number of vehicles in a qualifying race or main event may vary depending on the track/drivers stand size. We usually shoot for 12 (10 make the main and 2 bump)
?Best 4 races count, 2 throw outs.
?2 car bump up format.
?Both NITRO & ELECTRIC classes will run SINGLE “A” Mains.
?Racers must attend 4 of 6 events to be eligible for end of series awards.
?Most events will have registration the day before and the morning of. Please make sure you sign in prior to running on the track.
?Practice from 6am to 8am. Racing begins after our drivers meeting.

No chassis sponsored drivers are allowed in any Sportsman classes.

The Top Notch Series awards you points for how well you finish in each main event race as well as how you qualified. Points are awarded as follows:
Qualifying
1st seed = 100 points
2nd seed = 99 points
3rd seed = 98 points etc.
1 bonus point for top qualifying.
Mains
1st place = 100 points
2nd Place = 99 points
3rd place = 98 points

Example you TQ and Win the Main you have earned the maximum possible for a Round 201 points.
We do not offer attendance points*

First tie breaker will be your first highest throw out.
Second tie breaker will be you second highest throw out.
Third tie breaker will be who finished higher in Round 6.
The racer with the most points in each class, when counting the best 4 out of 6 results at the end of the season will be crowned the 2023 TNS champion!

The Registering participant named here on rcsignup.com HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES being conducted by Top Notch Series and Erik Johnson including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.
I CERTIFY that I am physically fit, have sufficiently prepared or trained for participation in this activity, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I CERTIFY that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my participation in this activity.
I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers of the activity in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity.
In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this activity, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:
(1) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES TOP NOTCH SERIES, Erik Johnson and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, and the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers;
(2) INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise.

 I acknowledge that TOP NOTCH SERIES and their directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and agents are NOT responsible for errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific activity on their behalf.
I acknowledge that this activity may involve a test of a person's physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other people, including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, monitors, and/or producers of the activity. These risks are not only inherent to participants, but are also present for volunteers.
I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity.
I understand while participating in this activity, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the activity holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns.
The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN IT OF My Own free will.

All host tracks have an insurance policy in place and any injury on their grounds will be filled with them.
