2023 Mudboss Mayhem

When? October 7th, 2023

Where? Shaws RC Track – OVAL (1815 Springdale Rd Ardmore, OK 73401)

Why? To promote true spec racing, a race that is about the car build, the setup, and the driver. No excuses about the next guy having better equipment or a big name-built car. This will level the playing field and show who the top dogs really are. Entries will be capped at 30 teams.

Support classes: Novice, Bandit Wingless and Slash Super Stock

Mudboss Mayhem; a single day event in which a 3-person team will build a provided Traxxas Slash Unassembled kit into a mudboss the day of the race. This race is intended to promote Mudboss racing in true spec fashion. 

The mudboss car will be built with these provided items:

• Traxxas Slash Unassembled Kit
• Phoenix Performance Bodies Mudboss Body
• Phoenix Performance Bodies Shock Limiter Kit
• Phoenix Performance Bodies Body Post Riser Kit
• 1 Mudboss Battery, brand TBD
• Traxxas #2735 bumper
• Paint and Decal Kit

The car will be run with all box stock equipment, 12T brushed motor and battery will be marked with a seal to be checked upon tech inspection. If at any point the car is put on the track with equipment other than what is provided you will be disqualified. Stock Traxxas radio included with the kit is required to be used.

Each team will need to bring a MYLAPS transponder for your team to run!

Sign Up

• Sign ups for the Mudboss class must be completed via rcsignup.com and paid online
• Other classes can be registered online or in person
• Sign ups for the Mudboss class close on September 22, 2023

Cost

• $300 per team, which breaks down to $100 per member
• Includes one raffle ticket per team member
• $25 per entry for support classes

Race Format

• Check in 11:00 am
• Car build starts at 12:00pm and will go until 4:45pm
• Practice will start at 5pm, Practice will be run controlled by Heat race order.Qualifiers to follow at 6pm
• Triple Qualifiers, each team member will run 1 qualifier
• Qualifying order for mains will be determined by all IFMAR qual points
• Single lower mains, driver for lower mains will be determined by the team. If your car bumps to the next lower main, you must use a different driver for the next round
• Once the 8 car A Main order is set, Triple A Mains will be run, one per driver for each team
• Final Finishing order will be determined by combination of all 3 mains
• Support classes will run 2 heats and 1 main
• Awards will be given to each driver on the top 3 teams as well as TQ. Awards also for support classes

Raffles

• Each driver will be given one ticket upon entry
• Each team will get to keep their car at the end of the night
• More raffle prizes provided by race sponsors will be raffled off between mains, extra tickets will be available for purchase at the registration booth
